Biography

Professor Dr. Ozan Seymen Sezen was born in Ankara. In 1993, he graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty and became a medical doctor. He is married and has a daughter.

In 1996, he passed the medical specialization exam and began his specialization in Ear Nose Throat Head and Neck Surgery (ENT-HNS). During his specialist training, he gained experience working on the anatomy, diseases, and surgery of the ear, nose, throat, neck, and facial regions.

In 1998, he worked at the University of Michigan Medical School ENT-HNS clinic in the United States, which is considered one of the clinics with the best training program among universities specializing in this field.

In 2000, he completed his specialist training and became an Ear Nose Throat Head and Neck Surgery Specialist. In 2001, he began his role as Chief Assistant (Educational Specialist) at Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Training and Research Hospital’s 1st ENT-HNS Clinic. During this role, he continuously provided scientific, practical, and surgical training to resident doctors, as well as ENT-HNS lectures and practical training to medical school students.

In 2007, he received training in rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery from the leading surgeons in the field of rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery in the United States.

In 2010, he passed the ear nose throat qualification exam and received his qualification certificate. In 2012, he passed his exams and became an associate professor of ear nose throat diseases. In 2012, as a result of written and oral examinations, he earned the European ear nose throat head and neck surgery qualification certificate. In 2014, he completed a year-long facial aesthetic surgery training called the facial plastic surgery school.

In 2013, he was appointed as a training faculty member at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital’s ENT Clinic. He resigned from this position to work in the private sector in order to provide better service to his patients.

Prof. Dr. Sezen has scientific studies and articles published in national and international Ear Nose Throat Head and Neck Surgery journals.

Prof. Dr. Ozan Seymen Sezen is especially interested in aesthetic nose surgery, facial aesthetic and plastic surgery, and snoring and sleep apnea surgery. Throughout his professional career, he has performed endoscopic sinus surgery, snoring and apnea surgery, rhinoplasty, oral and laryngeal cancer surgery, and ear surgery at levels well above what an average ENT specialist would perform.
