Biography

Professor Dr. Ozan Seymen Sezen was born in Ankara. In 1993, he graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and became a medical doctor. He is married and the father of a daughter.

In 1996, he passed the medical specialization exam and began his residency in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ENT-HNS). During his specialization training, he gained experience studying the anatomy, diseases, and surgery of the ear, nose, throat, neck, and facial regions.

In 1998, he worked at the University of Michigan Medical School ENT-HNS clinic in the United States, which is recognized as one of the clinics with the best training programs among universities offering specialization in this field.

In 2000, he completed his residency training and became a Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. In 2001, he began his position as Senior Resident (Teaching Specialist) at the 1st ENT-HNS Clinic of Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Training and Research Hospital. During this role, he continuously provided scientific, practical, and surgical training to resident physicians, and also delivered ENT-HNS lectures and practical training to medical school students.

In 2007–2008, in the United States, he received training in rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery from one of the country’s leading surgeons in aesthetic nasal and facial plastic surgery.

In 2010, he passed the otorhinolaryngology board examination and received his board certification.

In 2012, he passed the required examinations and became an Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology.

In 2012, following written and oral examinations, he earned the European Board certification in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

In 2014, he completed a one-year facial aesthetic surgery training program known as the Facial Plastic Surgery School.

In 2013, he was appointed as a teaching physician at the ENT Clinic of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital. He later resigned from this position in order to serve his patients in a better environment and began working in the private sector. Between 2013 and 2017, he served at the Private MediENT ENT Center. In 2017, he opened his own private office in Ataşehir, Istanbul. In 2019, he joined the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Istanbul Okan University Faculty of Medicine. During this role, he delivered theoretical and practical courses to medical and dental school students, and performed his surgeries at the same institution.

In 2019, he became a Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at the Department of ENT, Istanbul Okan University Faculty of Medicine.

In 2025, following written and oral examinations, he earned the European Board certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He currently sees patients and performs surgeries at his clinic on Bağdat Avenue in Suadiye and at Acıbadem Ataşehir Medical Center.

Prof. Dr. Sezen has more than 30 scientific studies and articles published in national and international Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery journals.

Prof. Dr. Ozan Seymen Sezen has a special interest in aesthetic nasal surgery in particular, as well as facial aesthetic and plastic surgery, snoring and sleep apnea surgery, and ear surgery. Throughout his professional career, he has performed endoscopic sinus surgery, snoring and apnea surgery, rhinoplasty, oral cavity and laryngeal cancer surgery, and ear surgery far beyond the average ENT specialist.
